Juliana Keirungi is a Senior Partner at Atacama Consulting. She oversees the firm’s Planning and Administration Unit, Impact Assessment Unit, Resettlement Services Unit, and the firm’s overall Quality Assurance

She holds a Master of Science, Bachelor of Science cum laude, and a Bachelor of Science, all from Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa.

She is a certified practitioner as a Team Leader for Environmental and Social Impact Assessments and Environmental Audits with Uganda’s National Environmental Management Authority.

With over 19 years of experience, Juliana has made a significant contribution in the Environmental and Social arenas, in various sectors such as Energy, Agriculture, Mining, Banking, Transport Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Tourism and Telecommunication serving a diverse range of clients comprising of Government Agencies, UN Agencies, the World Bank, Multinational Corporations, International Finance Cooperation (IFC), and the private sector.

Her expertise lies in the broad range of services including but not limited to; Resettlement Action Plans (Planning and Implementation), Livelihood Restoration, Social Baseline Surveys, Monitoring and Evaluation, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental Monitoring and Auditing, Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), among others.

Juliana is well conversant with the application of international standards adopted by financial institutions, such as the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Standards, the International Financial Corporation (IFC) environmental and social sustainability performance standards.
